The scout ship was a 22nd century Federation intel starship, a scout vessel in Section 31 service in the 2160s decade. A vessel of this type was small put powerful for its size.
History and specifications[]
Early in the year 2166, after a disastrous operation on Sauria, Control, had decided to disband the current iteration of its Section 31 agency. It had Matthew Harris and the other agents gathered board a scout ship.
On 20 February 2166, Harris's scout ship intercepted the vessel of the rogue S31 agent Charles Tucker III and his associate Devna near Stameris in the Lambda Serpentis system. Tucker recognised the scout ship as Federation in origin, powerful, and he identified the telltale signs of its Bureau ownership. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Patterns of Interference)
