Sicon II was a planet, the second planet of the Sicon system, located in the Sicondor Sector of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. It was the homeworld of the developing aquatic Delphinian civilization.
History and specifics[]
It was classified as a class K water world. Its ocean harbored a highly humid climate and a number of aquatic species, including some that were domesticated by the eel-like natives. Although a few small islands littered the surface, its plant life was predominately algae and kelp.
Despite being a protectorate of the Federation – as part of the Sicon system – by the late 2260s first contact had yet to be made. Politicians pointed out that the aquatic nature of the natives likely precluded their ever developing warp drive, with some suggesting the world remain off limits per the Prime Directive.
