Tactical drone

A tactical drone was a type of drone utilized by the Borg Collective. (VOY episode: "Dark Frontier")

Appearance and specifications[]

In the 24th century, tactical drones possessed a tritanium infrastructure. (VOY episode: "Dark Frontier")

In the 25th century, Borg drones were gray-skinned and hairless. Limbs, organs and chunks of body mass were exchanged with cybernetic implants. These drones wore no clothing, leaving skin exposed to the environment. (STO - In Shadows mission: "Sleepers")

A Borg prosthetic recovered from a tactical drone could be modified into a ground weapon, it could fire plasma bolt bursts as its primary attack and a heavy force plasma bolt in secondary mode. (STO - Borg Advance mission: "Assimilation")

History[]

During their expedition to locate and study the Borg in the early 2350s, Federation scientists Erin and Magnus Hansen transported Three of Five, a tactical drone of Ktarian origin, to the USS Raven for examination. The Hansens discovered its tritanium infrastructure and tagged the drone to study its movements before returning 3 of 5 to his Borg cube. (VOY episode: "Dark Frontier")

According to Seven of Nine in 2375, Hazari made excellent tactical drones due to their violent nature and advanced technical abilities. (VOY episode: "Think Tank")

In 2409, tactical drones were among the Borg attacking Vega colony. (STO mission: "Assimilation of the Innocent")

From that time onwards, the powers that would form the Alpha Quadrant Alliance in 2410 cooperated to contain the Borg threat. (STO - Borg Advance mission: "Report to Gamma Orionis")

Commander Khaiel N'Vek of the IRW Fraire led a team of Tal Shiar officers aboard Cube 19721. The Borg awoke and attacked the team. (STO - In Shadows mission: "Sleepers")

On a mission to rescue scientists from Omicron Kappa II, the away team fought tactical drones before becoming embroiled in a three-way fight with the Undine. (STO - Borg Advance mission: "Asset Recovery")

When an Allied team boarded a cube at NGC-4447, they found numerous tactical drones involved with creating an assimilated Undine. The team also recovered the Borg prosthetic of a tactical drone. (STO - Borg Advance mission: "Assimilation")

During the Borg Invasion of Defera Prime, various Borg drones spread throughout the Defera battlezone, including tactical drones.

Alternate timelines[]

In an alternate timeline created by the KIS Annorax, the Borg assimilated Romulus. A former Tal Shiar base was swarming with drones, including tactical drones. (STO - The Iconian War mission: "Butterfly")
