In 2156, Tau Ceti IV was the site of a major battle between the Coalition of Planets and Romulan Star Empire that ended in the defeat of allied forces, the Romulan occupation of Tau Ceti IV and the total annihilation of the human colony on the planet. In 2273, zoologist Karen Hester-Jones researched the mating habits of an indigenous psionic primate native to Tau Ceti IV. (TOS comic: "Experiment in Vengeance!")
