The toora Maab was a group on planet Capella IV opposed to all external interference in their affairs. In 2272, the toora Maab, led by a man named Keel, succeeded in deposing and exiling the young teer, Leonard James Akaar, and his mother.

In 2381, the toora Maab allegedly claimed responsibility for a topaline mine explosion on Capella, though in actuality, the explosion was the act of a single individual acting on behalf of Ferengi trader Sekki. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)

The toora Maab apparently takes its name from Maab, the rival of the senior Akaar seen in TOS episode: "Friday's Child".
