Wave nexus

A wave nexus is a spatial phenomenon created by energy waves generated by a supernova.

In 2372, Esteban Lopez plotted a course for Aidan Thorn directly through a wave nexus to briefly trap and damage the USS Defiant in order for the Retizians to attempt to board the starship. (DS9 novel: Saratoga)
