Wenomi was a 23rd century Oordon native man who assumed the role of Emperor of Oordon.
History[]
Wenomi was born in 2114. By 2266, he had become a poet. In 2266, he was exposed to de-aging radiation released by an earthquake. 193 days later, he had the appearance of a young teenager, but was still among the oldest, and had taken responsibility for the last surviving inhabitants.
He showed the Book of Nooaja to a landing party from the Federation starship USS Enterprise to help them understand the cause of the de-aging. James T. Kirk, Spock and Montgomery Scott resolved to bury the source of the radiation to save the people, but General Macador whacked Wenomi on the head in defiance and ran off.
After the source of the radiation was buried, Leonard McCoy offered Wenomi an antidote that would restore him and his people to their proper ages, but Elya preferred that the survivors grow back to adulthood naturally, giving them more time to restore their civilization. - Wenomi said he was 152 years old. Although the length of an Oordon year was not cited, it was assumed to be analogous to an Earth year for purposes of this wiki.
