Young reader novels are short-form novels and prose intended for younger audiences, primarily teenagers and pre-teens. The Original Series, The Next Generation and Voyager all had young reader releases of the Starfleet Academy series, while Deep Space Nine young reader novels focused on the adventures of Jake and Nog.
