"Big Birds Don't Fly"
3-2-1 Contact was a science education series produced by Children's Television Workshop that ran on PBS from 1980 until 1988. The series was geared toward an older audience than Sesame Street and The Electric Company, and it focused on such topics as biological and zoological life, the environment, and physical forces.

- The opening vamp of "Disco Frog" from the Sesame Disco! album has been used in several episodes. In episode 102, Lisa and Trini pull a joke on Marc turning on various electronic devices to disturb his peace; the tune is heard playing on a tape player. It is also used in episodes 106 and 108.
- In episode 109, Lisa, Marc and Trini do a balancing experiment while the opening vamp of "The Happiest Street in the World" from the Sesame Disco! album plays.
- In episode 211 which focused on flight and flying animals (airing on October 17, 1983), a song was included entitled "Big Birds Don't Fly," a parody of "Big Girls Don't Cry." In addition to footage of ostriches, emus, and penguins, Big Bird was showcased, using clips from "Wheels on My Feet."
