Alphabet Chat: Letter O

In today's Alphabet Chat, Mr. Chatterly pays tribute to the letter O. He gets disrupted by a pair of kids looking for books on finger painting (finding the books on set are merely painted to the flat), a salesman using Chatterly as a hat model, a custodian sweeping up the set, and some animals looking to audition for Zoo Parade. Before Mr. Chatterly can finish, the crew starts striking the set, sending Chatterly into a fit of rage.

Supporting cast[]

  • Frank Oz as the slate operator, hat salesman, and rabbit
  • Richard Hunt as the little girl, hat customer, cow, and stagehand
  • Jim Henson as the little boy, custodian, and a stagehand

Notes[]

  • Jon Stone's name appears on the clapboard as director. The slate operator calls up to "Jon" to focus the camera shot on the fire, and also earlier calls to "George" (a reference to lighting director George Riesenberger) to dim the lights.
