Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Miguel meets with Pete Seeger at Big Bird's nest, where Pete has a steel drum he got from someone in Trinidad. He's just learning how to play it and explains to Miguel and the kids how it works, citing it came from a barrel much like the ones the kids like to play in. Pete shows Miguel some of the other instruments that the kids have: cans filled with pebbles, which Miguel and the kids shake in rhythm to a tune Pete plays on his drum.

Muppets Ernie and Bert: Borrowing a Vacuum — Ernie wants to borrow Herbert Birdsfoot's vacuum cleaner, but he worries about how Herbert will respond.

Pete leads everyone in singing the Woody Guthrie song, "Don't You Push Me Down."

Film A boy pretends a wagon is a bus. His friend tells him it's not a bus, and explains what her father, a real bus driver, does.

SCENE 9 Big Bird asks Pete (whom he calls "Mr. Cigar") if he gets upset when people get into his nest. He then mixes up his words saying goodbye as Susan announces the sponsors.
