SCENE 1 | Bob notices a sign on Oscar's trash can which reads “please knock.” He does so, and Oscar pleasantly greets him. Oscar explains that he's put an ad in the newspaper for a doorman, someone who will answer the knocks on his can and run other errands. Bob observes that the newspaper that Oscar placed the ad in is The Monster Gazette, and the one that applied for the job is Grover. Oscar has never met Grover, and when he witnesses Grover’s friendly nature and joking with Bob, he realizes he may have made a mistake. |
