SCENE 1
The Count tells Maria that he can’t find anything new to count, and asks for ideas. She has a lot of work studying today, and suggests he try asking Bob or Luis, but he already tried; they are busy at their respective jobs. Suddenly he gets an idea: he'll go get a job himself, which will hopefully lead to new things for him to count.

She goes inside and finds Big Bird and the kids all reading. Big Bird explains that the Count brought his personal library to the space and is currently counting all the books. Maria thinks this will keep him occupied for awhile, but the Count soon finishes counting all 41,021 titles in his collection. He moves onto counting all the pages in the books.
