Description
SCENE 1Oscar has been sent Osvaldo's pet dog, Peligro, to give him some disobedience training. Maria isn't impressed by Peligro's lack of action as she's seen those tricks before, so Oscar reveals the newest trick - counting wrongly. Oscar asks Peligro to count to 3 and Peligro barks incessantly. He's been trained so well, Oscar can't get him to stop.

Maria and David believe the other have easier jobs and decide to switch - Maria goes off to Hooper's Store, and David goes to the Fix-It Shop.

David finds things in the Fix-It Shop to be nice and pleasant, putting on a relaxing radio station. Soon, his peace is broken when Gordon rushes in with an urgent need to have his clock fixed, and then Olivia needing her lamp repaired. Both fall apart in David's incapable hands.

Meanwhile, Maria is flummoxed at Hooper's, taking very long to prepare Gordon and Big Bird's meals. When Olivia comes in and places a complicated order, Maria neglects to check the toaster, which begins to burn and short out. She leaves to bring it over to the Fix-It Shop.

David is unable to do any repair work when Maria drops by. The two agree they are best suited for the jobs they've had all along.

SCENE 5Gordon situates Big Bird in the basement of 123 Sesame Street so he can draw his "funnies" in peace. Soon after Gordon leaves, the lights go out. Big Bird tries his best to be brave, knowing the room is the same as it was in the light, and he finds explanations for the various, somewhat-eerie sounds he hears like the furnace or the water pipes. He almost gets worried when he hears a creaky sound, but realizes it's just the basement stairs when he steps on them. Gordon returns to fiddle with the fuse box, while Big Bird repeatedly tells him not to be afraid of the dark.
