SCENE 2
Oscar cheers Slimey as he crawls to Hooper's, though he's only made it inches closer to the banister of 123 Sesame Street. Some kids that pass by see a CLOSED sign on the store's door and assume it's closed. Inside Hooper's, Forgetful Jones is minding the store, but doesn't understand why there are no customers. Outside, Olivia and Gordon notice the CLOSED sign and Gordon brings it to Forgetful's attention. Forgetful thinks the store is open because he can see the OPEN side of the sign from where he is, but Gordon shows him how to turn it around so the public can see that the store is, indeed, open. Once the sign is turned, Forgetful is about to help Olivia, but now thinks the store is closed.

Oscar cheers Slimey on as he continues slithering toward Hooper's, having made it to the opposite banister of the 123 steps. Meanwhile, at Hooper's, Gordon alerts Forgetful that he served him the wrong piece of pie: Gordon is supposed to get the sweet potato pie and Olivia is supposed to get the peach pie. Forgetful suggests they just switch seats, but it's easier for them to switch plates. Forgetful then answers the phone, and hears from someone that they'll be coming in, then forgets to hang up the phone.

SCENE 4
Oscar assumes that Slimey is at Hooper's by now, so he goes to read a grouchy fairy tale and take a nap. Meanwhile, Bob encounters Slimey (crawling across the basement rail of 123 Sesame Street) on his way to Hooper's. He asks Forgetful for a glass of milk and a gingerbread man, though Olivia and Gordon give him funny looks for liking a childish treat. Forgetful remembers the gingerbread man, but forgets the milk; Bob also points out that this cookie is missing a leg. Forgetful thinks it's the same as the whole cookie he's holding, until he notices that Bob is right. Forgetful gives him the whole cookie, then takes the broken one to the “cookie hospital,” again forgetting Bob's milk.

SCENE 5Big Bird says hi to Gordon and Olivia on his way to Hooper's. He also encounters Slimey, who is still crawling rapidly toward the store along the store's newsstand, and assumes Slimey is afraid of early birds who catch the worm (one of which Big Bird is not). At Hooper's, Big Bird asks Forgetful for some Mexican birdseed, because he's having some Mexican bird friends over for dinner (comida), and wants to make Mexican birdseed tacos. Bob questions this logic, and Big Bird points out that there are such things as English muffins, French fries, and Russian dressing, so why not Mexican birdseed? Forgetful does indeed come through with Big Bird's 12-piece order, but forgets how to count to 12 (doce). Big Bird and Bob help him count in Spanish, then all the customers leave to go about their business. Forgetful realizes he doesn’t have any money, because he forgot to ask them to pay him. Bob comes back and offers to pay, but Forgetful says they can just give the money to David the next time they see him.
