SCENE 1 WORM-TV reporter Tim McCarver covers the games being held in Wiggly City, Georgia, which begins with a parade of the worms who have come all over the world to compete. Slimey marches in last, representing The United States of America. Oscar cheers him on as his coach, along with other international Grouches. Tim recalls Slimey's past attempts at the Worm Winter Games, where he managed to lose every event. Oscar chews out Tim for his negative coverage as the Grouches argue over who's the most proud of their worm.

Blooper: Joey Mazzarino's Italian Grouch wanders into the scene, calling for his worm whom he mistakes Slimey for. He runs by at the end of the scene yelling for his worm, eliciting laughter from Tim and the crew.

Oscar and the other Grouches revel in Tim's misfortune - and even the worm audience does "The Wave!"
