SCENE | Elmo, Grover, Zoe, and Rosita have formed a singing group called "The Cute and Fuzzy Four" and practice their song on the stoop. They have a gig at Hooper's Store tonight, but Zoe's daddy and Rosita's mother call for them to come home, while Grover has to go to work at Charlie's Restaurant, making the performance impossible. Now Elmo has no band since he cannot sing by himself and wonders what to do. |

SCENE cont'd | Meanwhile, Gordon and Miles exit 123 Sesame Street with Gordon's father (played by Carl Gordon) who is visiting, and they try to figure out something they all can do together. They learn Elmo needs some new singing partners and Elmo asks Miles to participate in the performance, since he's in a singing group himself. Miles almost declines as he's spending time with his father and grandfather, but Gordon's father says it's okay as it's good to help out a friend. |

SCENE cont'd | Two isn't enough for Elmo's band, so he asks Gordon to join. Miles says his dad's "not into music," but Gordon reveals that as a teenager in the 1970s, he was in a garage band known as "The Electric Three" with Luis and Bob. The latter puts on an English accent to keep up with the other popular British bands, while Luis is distracted by "this groovy chick" named Maria that he just met and envisions a life with her (very much like the one in reality). The Electric Three then perform a rock version of "Rubber Duckie." |

SCENE cont'd | When Elmo asks Gordon's father to join the band, Gordon is surprised to learn that his dad was a singer known as "Johnny Uno," named such because there was only himself in the band. He had a hit song called "Do the Macaroni," and remembers performing the song in 1955 on Sesame Street Bandstand. A flashback features a Dick Clark-esque Muppet (Joey Mazzarino) introducing a young Mr. Robinson (portrayed by Miles) singing to a group of crazed fans. |

SCENE cont'd | Later that evening, everyone on Sesame Street (including Maria, Luis, Ernie, Bert, Telly, Zoe, Prairie Dawn, Susan, and several kids) gather in the yard for the performance. Alan introduces the new group, now called "The Cute But Not So Fuzzy Four," and they perform an upbeat version of their song. A wistful Luis comments to Maria, "I used to be in a band" as the two kiss and everybody applauds. |

Notes[]
- Although the song that is rehearsed is "Monster in the Mirror," everybody refers to it as "The Wubba Wubba Wubba Song," and only the chorus is performed.
- Miles' singing group would later appear in Episode 4079.
- Bob's remark that he hopes that Maria doesn't break up the band is a reference to the somewhat common belief that Yoko Ono beginning a romantic relationship with John Lennon is what broke up The Beatles.
- Though she is the first to leave the group at the beginning, Zoe is present for the Hooper's Store performance.
