The Da Vinci Code is a 2003 mystery novel by Dan Brown that was adapted as a film in 2006. One of several novels featuring fictional symbologist Robert Langdon, the story explores the world of secret societies, hidden code in the works of Leonardo da Vinci, and the forbidden lineage of Jesus Christ.
