Sheelabhadra Dey

Hi, I am a 4th year computer science Ph.D. student at Texas A&M University, where I work with Dr. Guni Sharon in the Pi Star Lab. My research interests lie at the intersection of reinforcement learning and robotics. My current research focuses on leveraging demonstrations and interventions to make reinforcement learning safer and faster.

In summer 2022, I interned with Motional developing RL-based motion planners for autonomous driving. Prior to that, I interned with Teale designing RL-based algorithms for automated oil drilling in spring 2022.

I previously received an M.S. in computer science from Texas A&M University, during which I was fortunate to work with Dr. Atlas Wang and Dr. Jun Wang on brain image analysis.
