June Bellamy

Transparent

June Bellamy is a seasoned voice actress who has provided the voices of Itchy and Scratchy on The Itchy & Scratchy Show since the show's inception. Her lengthy resume also includes the voice of the Roadrunner in the Looney Tunes cartoons, though she claimed she only recorded one "meep" which the studio then duplicated as a cost-saving measure.

Bellamy quickly befriended Homer when he was cast as the voice of Poochie and appreciated his help in dealing with geeky fans at conventions. She also explained to Homer how cartoons aren't live on TV because of the strain on the animators' wrists. When Homer's voice acting career was threatened due to the producers' plans to get rid of Poochie, June stood up to them, saying that if he (Homer) goes, she goes. Her help was not enough to save Poochie, however.

After Kent Brockman's swearing on Smartline got Channel 6 sued with a $10,000,000 fine, Bellamy wasn't able to voice Itchy or Scratchy due to The Krusty the Clown Show, and by extension, Itchy & Scratchy, being affected by the fine due to airing on the same channel. This resulted in the show's host, Krusty the Clown, being forced to narrate a particular cartoon.

Notes[]

  • June Bellamy is based on the late voice actress June Foray. June Lucille Forer AKA June Foray died of natural causes on July 26, 2017 at the age of 99.
