right... but I still think that there is a cleaner alternative.. Isn't:

#if defined (MSDOS)
#define OS_FOUND 1
..
..
..
#endif
#if defined (UNIX)
#define OS_FOUND 1
..
..
..
#endif


#if !defined (OS_FOUND)
#error "No OS found"
#endif

the better way?
