Well, here I am getting quite a bit into territory I don't know a lot about: I am trying to warm up my programming skills and the gcc source looked too intangible. So I checked out gas and it definitely is much easier to get into. I was impressed by Randall Hydes HLA and thought it would be nice to be able to use some more powerful mocros in assembly going with gcc, too. Now, I don't know a lot about cpp, but I guess you couldn't use it to preprocess inline assmebly. After all, some macro stuff did find its way into gas, and that's why I thought it did. Anyway, do you have some page listing problems to be tackled by beginners? Boris.
