Hi Marko,
Sorry for the delay in responding.

Fair enough. Are you aware of the responsibilities of a port
maintainer ?

A shame, but that is the way it goes.

This is acceptable.

Mailing to this list should work. If you have problems you can send
mail directly to me, although I cannot guarantee an immediate response
either.
Firstly and most importantly do you (and anyone else who has worked on
the OpenRisc 1000 sources) have a copyright assignment on file with
the FSF ? Without such an assignment we possible accept any source
submissions.
Secondly, in order to become a maintainer you will need write
permission on the binutils CVS archive. Before I grant that I would
like to see some samples of the code you plan to submit. Please could
you send a compressed archive of either the patches or the patched
files that you would like to apply directly to me. (Unless this is a
small archive, please do not send it to the mailing list as some
people have slow, and expensive, email connections).
Cheers
Nick
