tested with both 2.11.2 and cvs, looks ok. thank you very much. The
warning (type...changed) has gone away, too.

probable gdb (simulator) bug report concerning (thumb) swi instruction
will now follow soon - I'll have to figure out the details, but it seems
that the lr is not set correctly. But first I'll eat something.
