GREAT!!  :-))  That was fast.
I am now getting the patch applied to our heavy tester
(the ports cluster that builds the 6500 FreeBSD [3rd party] packages).

We have had many weird compile failures ever since I upgraded us to 2.12.
It will be interesting to see if this fixes them. (fingers crossed!)

The patch looks kind of MI.  Is this bug only in the i386 code?
If so, just courious why the other platforms did not the bug also.
