I might be able to tomorrow.

I forget the exact error message, but it is a one liner containing the very descriptive text "invalid value" or some such thing.  I was able to find the offending relocation by running ld under gdb.

The current test case is to use the latest g++ to compile ptrflags.C which lives in the g++ testsuite.  I wish I could be more specific right now, but I am not currently sitting at my development system.
