Hi,

I searched in the mailing list of binutils for the bfd_mach_*
constants, and found a patch in "Change bfd machine consts to enums"
topic (http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2002-02/msg00470.html). I
guess this is helpful to make porting easy. Why it's not been
accepted? IMO, 'enum' is better than '#define'.
