"19990502 sourceware import" added the initial contents of binutils/ binutils/ config/ etc/ gas/ gprof/ include/ intl/ ld/ libiberty/ opcodes/. The prehistory was buried in time... Is it still possible to get a copy of the logs? Sometimes when you need to figure out why some features were designed in certain ways or just to learn how things evolved, the prehistoric log will be valuable... More specifically, I am learning altmacro. It has many differences with the normal macro system and it seems that the code was added before 19990502.
