Nevada was a state of the United States of America.

The border of Nevada was located within 200 miles of that of Mexico. (TV: A Town Called Mercy ^[+]Toby Whithouse, Doctor Who series 7 (BBC One, 2012).) Much of the state was covered in desert. (TV: Dreamland ^[+]Phil Ford, Doctor Who Animated Special 2009 (BBC Red Button, 2009).)

In 1870, the town of Mercy was in danger of starvation after the arrival of Kahler-Jex, who was being hunted by the cyborg Kahler-Tek for war crimes. Around its border, a line of rocks was placed so that no one could escape or enter. (TV: A Town Called Mercy ^[+]Toby Whithouse, Doctor Who series 7 (BBC One, 2012).)

In 1958, the Tenth Doctor arrived in Dry Springs, where he met and befriended Cassie Rice and Jimmy Stalkingwolf at Cassie's mother's diner. Following a short fight with agents of the Alliance of Shades and a Viperox battle drone, the trio were taken to Area 51. In 2011, Angelo Colasanto and his granddaughter Olivia lived in Nevada. Olivia escorted the Torchwood team to his house. (TV: End of the Road ^[+]Ryan Scott and Jane Espenson, Torchwood series 4 (Starz, 2011).)

The Twelfth Doctor was dropped off in Nevada after his memories of Clara Oswald were wiped. While there, he visited a diner and met with Clara there, telling her about his recent adventure on Gallifrey. (TV: Hell Bent ^[+]Steven Moffat, Doctor Who series 9 (BBC One, 2015).)

In 2020, during the human-Silurian negotiations, Nevada was suggested as a place where the Silurians could live. (TV: Cold Blood ^[+]Chris Chibnall, Doctor Who series 5 (BBC One, 2010).)
