endless loop - Computer Definition

(1) A continuous recording. When the tape, disk or solid state storage medium is filled, it starts recording at the beginning of the medium erasing what was previously there. See dashcam.
(2) An intentional or erroneous never-ending routine in a program. See infinite loop.
