Object-oriented design
Object-oriented design implements the concept of problem solving, using models based on the concepts of the real world.
This text explains object-oriented design patterns using vignettes from the fictional world of Harry Potter, such as the Sorting Hat, the Remembrall, the Time-Turner, and the Floo network.
Figure 2 represents the standard way of notating subclass derivation and property arrangement in object-oriented design patterns.
A validation of object-oriented design metrics as quality indicators, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, October, p751-761.
The different approaches to develop Web- based applications are: Hypermedia Design Model (HDM), (LUNA, 2009), Relationship Management Methodology (RMM) (Isakowtis et al., 1995), the Object-Oriented Hypermedia Design Model (OOHDM) (Schwab et al., 1995) and an Object-Oriented Design Methodology (OODM) (Shah, 2003) .
Dawson, who teaches game programming at the Los Angeles Film School, uses short programs to teach the concepts of data structures, loops, functions, file handling, exceptions, object-oriented design, and graphical user interfaces.
Most Information Systems curricula include a Systems Analysis and Design course, with potential follow up courses such as Object-Oriented Design, Database Design, etc.
Another approach would be to respond to complexity by making rigorous use of what should be six core techniques in the IT profession - joint application design; process mapping; data modelling; system prototyping; object-oriented design and programming; and system testing and rollout.
C++ does not force object-oriented design but allows for it if you deem it feasible.
* Cyclomatic Complexity (CC)--in object-oriented design, the metrics represents the complexity of a method and indirectly also complexity of a class.
They consider that through the concurrent model a team accomplishes the activities of object-oriented analysis (OOA), object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP) in parallel.
