CSS cos() - Basic Example
In the following example, the cos() function is used within the calc() function to determine the width, height, and margin of the rotated-scaled-rectangle element.
<html>
<head>
<style>
div.original-rectangle {
width: 150px;
height: 100px;
background-color: orange;

div.rotated-rectangle {
width: 150px;
height: 100px;
background-color: yellow;
transform: rotate(25deg);
}
div.rotated-scaled-rectangle {
width: calc(120px * cos(25deg));
height: calc(70px * cos(25deg));

transform: rotate(25deg);
transform-origin: center;
background-color: pink;
