Description

The Java URLConnection setDoInput(boolean doinput) method sets the value of the doInput field for this URLConnection to the specified value. A URL connection can be used for input and/or output. Set the doInput flag to true if you intend to use the URL connection for input, false if not. The default is true.

The following example shows the usage of Java URLConnection setDoInput() method for a valid url with https protocol. In this example, we're creating an instance of URL class. Using url.openConnection() method, we're getting the URLConnection instance. Using getDoInput(), we're getting the default value of the doInput flag of URLConnection instance and printing the same. Then using setDoInput() method we've changed the value of doInput flag to false and printed the same again −
