The HackerNoon Team

Who's Behind
HackerNoon?

HackerNoon is a small, distributed team of 20-ish people* passionate about making the internet a better place by publishing free high quality tech stories - without paywalls, pop-up ads, or a sense of entitlement.

*HackerNoon is also a huge, global team of over 45,000+ writers, founders, makers, thinkers and technologists, plus over 4 Million monthly readers, but unfortunately we didn’t have space to feature them all here.

Helping Us Keep
HackerNoon
Free to Read, Forever

The internet is our generation's greatest invention. We think it works better without paywalls, pop-ups, or the abuse of data.

HackerNoon’s Tech Stack

The Products that
Power HackerNoon

We code our site from the feet up. In July 2019, we removed the Medium content management system from our site, and launched our own publishing platform. Overnight, HackerNoon became not only a publishing company, but also a software company.

We built (and continue to build) the HackerNoon platform:

For readers to enjoy access to highest quality, evergreen and topical tech content—paywall and pop-up-free

For writers to elevate their own voices with the support of our team of human editors to review, improve, publish, and distribute their words online

For sponsors to make a positive and potentially profitable impression on tech’s most influential and innovative minds
