Compilation and installation succeed here as of 2025-08-19, pkgver=2.10.3.r3.ga7e1df4b.

Installing this package will fail, as rmlint-shredder-git depends on rmlint, while rmlint conflicts with rmlint-shredder. Probably some negotiation and consensus need to be made between the two package maintainers.

If you're familiar with this package and want to maintain it, no worries, I'll transfer it to you. Push it directly to the repo.

If you don't have time I would take maintenance of the package, as an upstream maintainer and Arch user.

Yesterday, the package was still owned by SanskritFritz, that's why I posted the last modifications as part of out-of-date comments.

I would like to make a correction to the PKGBUILD, should I push directly to the repository or post a patch here in the comments ?

I push modifications, the build is ok now. I would see if I have time to take the maintenance of the package in the future :)

Now depends on gtksourceview4, not gtksourceview3.

Fails to build. Needs extra/python-sphinx in dependencies.

This is missing python-sphinx as a compile-time dependency:

Unable to find sphinx binary in PATH
Will be unable to build manpage or html docs
Install file: "docs/_build/man/rmlint.1" as "/tmp/rmlint-git/pkg/rmlint-git/usr/share/man/man1/rmlint.1"
scons: *** [/tmp/rmlint-git/pkg/rmlint-git/usr/share/man/man1/rmlint.1] docs/_build/man/rmlint.1: No such file or directory
