http://docs.python.org/dev/3.0/extending/extending.html Given that the following paragraph tells us that there should be just one non-static item in the module file, struct PyModuleDef spammodule = should be static struct PyModuleDef spammodule = Possibly this persists into the Demos, that's not available to me right now.
