The Blood Moon was originally a planetoid bordering the Speed Force Wall in the Post-Flashpoint Multiverse. It eventually became a repository for bottled cities taken by a future version of Brainiac. After the ending of the Convergence, the Blood Moon was displaced to Earth 2, replacing the destroyed Earth and being renamed as "Earth-2".

History

Early History

Created by Brainiac from splinters of multiple destroyed universes, the planetoid called Telos was administered by a being also named Telos. Brainiac brought it from universe to universe, so it hung like a blood moon in the sky, kidnapping cities to save some part of a given reality before it was destroyed by a crisis or whim of fate.

Convergence

Shortly after Brainiac was destroyed, the planet was visited by the survivors of Earth 2, having escaped their Earth's destruction. Taking this as a sign that the system was breaking down, Telos pitted the cities against one another, insisting that only one would survive. However, the actions of the newcomers, coupled with some help, lead to the situation not only resolving peacefully but actually reversing, with the surviving residents altering time so that their universes were safe. Acknowledging the role of the newcomers in this, Telos terraformed the world into a replica of Earth 2, to be used by them. He placed it in their universe and left to explore reality.

Society

Telos, rechristened "Earth 2" by the humans, was found in a binary star system, orbiting a red sun and a yellow sun. Due to a threatened takeover, the eleven colony ships were caused to crash land on the planet, while the flagship, Overwatch-One, remained in orbit.

A year after crash landing, the death of the commander of Overwatch-One, Terry Sloan, sparked an investigation into the realities of the settlers' new society.
