Jericho, real name Joseph "Joey" Wilson, is the second son of the mercenary Deathstroke and his ex-wife, Adeline Kane. At an early age, Joseph was kidnapped by the terrorist Jackal and a knife wound to his throat rendered him permanently mute. Due to his father's genetics, Joseph possesses a metahuman gene enabling to access higher brain functions, granting him varied psychic-based abilities such as astral projection and possession. He has been a superhero and villain, member of the Teen Titans, Defiance, the Wildebeest Society, and the Justice League Reserves. Jericho has been romantically linked to fellow heroes Raven, Kole, and Dr. Ikon.

Jericho was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, first appearing in Tales of the Teen Titans #42 (1984).
