In the late 1930s an American soldier of fortune named Clip Carson was hired by the government of Verdania to deliver half a ton of ammunition to a remote outpost, where a garrison of soldiers was under siege by a force of Revolutionists, led by General Calero. Thus replenished, the Verdanian soldiers were able to mount a successful counterattack, and the revolutionaries were defeated.[1]
Soon afterward, the rebels kidnapped President Valdez, and imprisoned him at their remote mountain base at Punta Del Sol. Clip Carson and one Verdanian officer flew there, penetrated the enemy headquarters, and rescued the president.[2]
