Method: projects.metrics.create

Creates a logs-based metric.

HTTP request

POST https://logging.googleapis.com/v2/{parent=projects/*}/metrics

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
parent

string

Required. The resource name of the project in which to create the metric:

"projects/[PROJECT_ID]"

The new metric must be provided in the request.

Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource parent:

  • logging.logMetrics.create

Request body

The request body contains an instance of LogMetric.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of LogMetric.

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/logging.write
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/logging.admin
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
