Intensified spot in the sweep of a deflection-type indicator, used as a reference mark for ranging or expanding the presentation.
Intensified sweep on a plan-position indicator or B-scope; such a strobe may result from certain types of interference, or it may be purposely applied as a bearing or heading marker.
Line on a console oscilloscope representing the azimuth data generated by a jammed radar site.
A signaling pulse of very short duration.
