Friúmes Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Penacova Municipality; it had 645 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 14.7 km².

Shield Or, a bar wavy (blazon says "fess") Azure charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, in chief an eradicated cork oak Vert, peeled Purpure and fruited Sable, in base a bunch of grain Vert tied Gules, precisely one wheat ear, two rye ears and two corn cobs fruited Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "PARADELA - PENACOVA"
