Hide tracker firmware version when board type is unknown by ImSapphire · Pull Request #1721 · SlimeVR/SlimeVR-Server

@Amelia-bun

image Would this apply to hardware ID or main board ID? DIY smol slimes have a known hardware ID but no main board ID.

@ImSapphire

It's main board ID, I suppose hardware ID would be more applicable here.

@Amelia-bun

I think main board ID is fine, since it's not known unless the seller defines it in firmware, right?
So unless the seller defines it, the firmware version is hidden.

@ImSapphire

I imagine that people would want to see the build date on their DIY smols, which this change as-is would break. This is mainly just to hide the panel for the virtual devices from SteamVR or Monado.

@Amelia-bun

I see. That makes sense.
I was more interested in hiding the "Latest firmware version" as I get questioned a lot about it.

@ImSapphire

I'll change it over to hide the entire panel when hardware ID is unknown, and hide the 'latest' version if the board is unknown, so the build date will still be visible on smols

@Amelia-bun

That works! Thank you so much!

@ImSapphire

@Amelia-bun can you try with the latest version of the branch?

@Amelia-bun

Hasn't built yet on my end

@ImSapphire

the artifacts from ci should be available now

Build date doesn't say anything, and there's a null value on the second line after current version.

@Amelia-bun

Do you want to get into VC?
