Most of our, Amazon's, contributions are made through the individuals involved with the projects, but sometimes a team are working together on a raft of contributions. In these cases, having a centralized contributing repository can be a big help.
However - we have found it can be confusing to fork repositories for contirbuting next to company projects. So, in 2023, we created this organization as a space for repositories we are contributing back to as teams.
