Hi, I'm Karol.

I've spent a large part of the last decade+ working in open source, mostly around JRuby and the Ruby/JVM ecosystem. My contributions span core runtime work, ActiveRecord JDBC support, OpenSSL compatibility, Rack integration.

I’m especially interested in the edges of software systems: compatibility, upgrades, debugging production behavior, and bridging worlds to fit together perfectly.

I like practical engineering, mature (legacy) systems and software that survives contact with reality. If that overlaps with what you're building, feel free to reach out.
