karma0 - Overview

1986 First line of code (Commodore 64)
1991 First robot
1997 First neural network
2013 AlchemyAPI → IBM Watson (employee #10)
2017 Bell Labs — embedded comms, 5G, GPS
2019 Tanium — 1.25M endpoints, fleet ops at scale
2024 RobotDen — building the infrastructure layer production robotics is missing

Bobby builds robotics infrastructure. The RobotDen projects are the open-source R&D arm of Tafy Labs — developer tooling, deployment pipelines, and observability systems for robots that need to work outside the lab.

Currently building:

  • ros2-healthcheck — Datadog for ROS 2. Node health, QoS auditing, DDS discovery analysis.
  • robo-deploy — CI/CD that builds, sim-tests, and deploys firmware + ML models to edge devices.
  • fleet-bridge — Vendor-agnostic fleet orchestration. VDA 5050 + MassRobotics AMR.

The angle:

40 years across security, AI/ML, embedded systems, and enterprise fleet management. The robotics software stack needs the same infrastructure patterns that power IT at scale — observability, CI/CD, fleet ops, OTA. Bobby's been building both sides of that bridge his entire career.

Eight robotic platforms. A custom 3D printer from scratch. A 6-node embedded Kubernetes cluster for serverless inference. 26 years of security engineering. And a growing conviction that the $120B robotics software market is missing its most important layer.
