Bio

• 💻 I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science at IME, University of São Paulo, as part of the Computer Music Research Group.
  • I hold a bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia 🎓.
• 🛠️ My current projects include:
  • 🔊 Wavesongs - A python package to create animal sounds from recordings using sound analysis, dynamical system, and numerical optimization.
  • 🐦 BirdSongs – Automating the generation of bird songs using nonlinear models and numerical optimization techniques.
• 💼 Previous projects:
  • 🎶 maad-toolbox – Contributed to the sound analysis toolbox by implementing functions for extracting acoustic features.
  • 🧑🏽‍🏫 uETITC - Developed material for software engineering courses at the Escuela Tecnológica Instituto Técnico Central (ETITC).
  • 🧬 MR-AS4/COL – Evaluation of the unbinding kinetics of Mineralocorticoid (MR) receptor steroid agonist Cortisol (COL) and Aldosterone (AS4) ligands using Molecular Dynamics (MD) and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations.
  • 🏫 Aprender – Frontend and backend development for an educational website integrating Moodle. Also involved in teaching mathematics and physics. This project is currently on hold.
• ⚙️ I work daily with Python, Markdown, and LaTeX. I also have experience with Java, MATLAB, C, C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Julia, and more.
• 📗 I am continuously learning about Machine Learning, Numerical Methods for Physics, Data Visualization, Sound Analysis, Dynamical Systems, and Numerical Optimization.

  • 🎵 Acoustic instrument simulation: data creation, analysis, processing, and visualization.

  • 📝 Developing educational question banks using Moodle and ChatGPT.
  • 💡 Exploring innovative and engaging ways to teach science and programming, leveraging tools like PhET simulations.
• 🧩 My hobbies include: 🎧 listening to music, 📚 reading, 🎮 playing video games, 🌱 urban gardening, 🚴‍♂️ cycling, and ✈️ traveling.
