My name is Santhosh Thottingal. Currently working as Principal Software Engineer at Wikimedia Foundation. I lead various language computing projects at Swathanthra Malayalam Computing, a free software community working on language computing.

• Wikipedia article translation system - This is what I work at Wikimedia Foundation as part of my job. So far helped creating 600K wikipedia articles in 100+ languages
• Banana-i18n - A javascript internationalization library using the localization format used in Wikipedia projects

Typography

• Manjari - Malayalam typeface I designed. Very popular and my most successful project so far.
• Chilanka - Handwriting style Malayalam typeface I desgined.
• Gayathri - A typeface I helped developing and releasing. Technically and aesthetically excellant font.
• Nupuram - Recently released Malayalam typeface superfamily. Variable fonts, Color fonts. Designed using Metapost
• Malini - Work in progress Malayalam typeface for body text. Variable font. Metapost glyph definitions.

Computational Linguistics

• Malayalam Morphology Analyser - Malayalam morphology analyser and generator using Finite State Transducer technology. A foundational project for Malayalam language computing. Many applications like spellchecker, named entity recognition are developed on top of this.
