Research Interest
My general interest includes emission and scattering processes on airless objects in the solar system (theory, observation, experimental data analyses, data reduction and related statistics and coding).
Currently I am working at KASI (Korea) as an appointed senior researcher for NASA's SPHEREx (solar system science, image simulator and the mission data center pipeline development).
In theoretical approach, the main topics I focus on are:
- Thermal radiation, radiation pressures from airless bodies.
- DESTINY+ mission related (3200 Phaethon).
In observational approach, the main topics I focus on are:
- Optical & near-infrared (NIR) polarimetry/photometry
- Experience in HAWAII infrared array, as well as optical detectors
- Experience in extra-effort for accurate photometry (flat-field analyses, statistics, instrument parameter analyses, absolute/relative photometry of trailed objects, ...)
- Experience in detector parameter analysis (precise statistical assessments on gain, readout noise, waveplate rotation, ...)
