Hi Stefan,

You can do this with mh_installpoms and mh_installjar from
maven-repo-helper. If the pom is not provided upstream you can add a
get-orig-pom target in debian/rules that fetches the pom from the Maven
central repository. The pom is kept in the debian directory.

You can get a look at the jsch package for an example:
